Taking The Gospel To Kenya, Africa

" Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named" Romans 15:20

God's Simple Plan Of Salvation

What You Believe Does Matter!
It seems that everyone has an opinion about the Bible and the way of salvation. Many people think that “faith” is a personal matter and that answers to spiritual questions are up to individual interpretation. The truth never has and never will take a backseat to personal opinion. So it does matter what you believe!

1. It matters what you believe about the RUIN OF MANKIND!

God says that all people are sinner and that no one that does good:
     (Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
(Romans 3:10-12) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none
that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

It does not matter what you believe about yourself; it only matters what God says about you. You may be “good” in the sight of other men, but before God you do not measure up to His glory. You have sinned and done it on purpose. Why? Because the Bible says you have a sinful nature:

(Ephesians 2:3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

2. It matters what you believe about the REWARD OF SIN!

God says that all people will die because of their sin:
(Romans 5:12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(Ezekiel 18:4) “…the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

(Exodus 34:6,7)"....The LORD, The LORD GOD...that will by no means clear the guilty..."

The Word of God speaks of two different, but very real deaths: First, It teaches a physical death. Every person will physically die. (Hebrews 9:27) “ And as it is appointed unto men once to die”
No one can deny this fact that one day your body will die. The other death taught from scripture is the Second Death:
(Revelation 20:14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
IF you chose to reject God’s provision of the forgiveness of sin; upon death you will be placed in HELL and remain there until the Day of Judgment when Christ will cast you into the Lake of Fire for you pay your own sin for all of eternity. The Good News is that this does not have to be your judgment!

3. It matters what you believe about the REMOVAL OF SIN!

God says that the only way to have your sin forgiven is to believe on Jesus Christ:

--Jesus Christ lived a sinless life before God: (Hebrews 4:15)—“…but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
--Jesus Christ paid the offense of your sin on the cross which He died:
(2 Corinthians 5:21) For he(God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
(1 Peter 3:18a) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh…”

--Jesus Christ declared His ability to forgive sins by His resurrection from the dead on the third day:
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
--Total Belief (or trust) in what Jesus Christ has done for you is the only way you can have the forgiveness of sin!
(Romans 10:9-10) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Do you see that it does matter what you believe? Salvation from sin cannot be obtained by good works, church membership, baptism, tithing or any other religious act you can think of. It can only be obtained if you are willing to believe on Jesus Christ. Why don’t you take God at His Word and accept the provision of God that is made in Jesus Christ.
