We could not do whatPrayer Letter October 2008 Thought: As I was reading my Bible (I know what your thinking& missionaries don t read their Bible& but we do!) I was reading the passage of scripture where Jesus and His disciples were watching the widow woman give her two mites. As Jesus saw this He told His disciples that she had given more than they all because she had given all she had. I marveled at the thought that someone could be so devoted to the work of God that they would give their all no matter how much (or little) that might be. But isn t that what a missionary does? By faith, believing that God has called them, they sell all and give all. They forsake friends, family, familiarity and endeavor to give all they have to and for the work of God. May the Ralph Family strive to give their all! Meetings: Well, on September the 29th, we arrived back at home in Jackson, Mississippi, for what we thought was two weeks of down time. But after five meetings, four doctor s appointments and about 16 hours of driving, we are preparing to depart for Alaska on this Friday. We will be in Alaska for a month and we are asking God to do something special for us by way of our support. During the next two months if something miraculous doesn t happen in Alaska we will begin scheduling for the New Year. Pray with us that our support will pick up drastically this month. Update: I have a small update for you all about my family. Kristy had her surgery to remove her skin cancer. She did well and now only has a sore face and 3 stitches. As for Hanna, we are waiting for an appointment with a pediatric neurologist for an MRI. Hanna s pediatrician and consulting doctors are guessing her delay in walking is caused by a neurological condition.
